1. About TherAIpy

TherAIpy is an AI-powered mental wellbeing companion provided by Qualia Health Ltd (Brighton, United Kingdom). It is not a replacement for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a recognised helpline immediately (UK: Samaritans 116 123; US: 988).

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or using TherAIpy, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older, or a minor with verifiable parental or guardian consent, to use TherAIpy.

4. The service

TherAIpy provides AI-guided supportive conversations using evidence-informed frameworks. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or guarantee specific outcomes. AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate — use your judgment and seek human professional help when needed.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly. On web, payments are processed by Stripe. On mobile, subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and subject to their respective terms.

You can cancel at any time from the in-app subscription screen. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds follow the policy of the platform through which you subscribed.

Fair use limits (such as daily message caps) may apply depending on your plan.

6. Your account and content

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use TherAIpy to harm yourself or others, or to seek instructions for illegal activity
  • Attempt to access other users' data or disrupt our systems
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service without permission
  • Misrepresent TherAIpy as human professional therapy or a medical device

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a safety risk.

8. Intellectual property

TherAIpy, its branding, software, and website content are owned by Qualia Health Ltd unless otherwise stated. You may not copy or redistribute our materials without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

TherAIpy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qualia Health Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of TherAIpy, including reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where practicable.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
